Our international eTwinning project, "Democracy Workshop: I Have a Voice, I Have Power," aims to help students aged 9–16 understand democratic values. It also helps them see the social importance of democracy through art and digital platforms. In our project, led by Project Coordinators and Teachers, we have 8 partners from Turkey, 4 from Romania, 2 from Italy, 1 from Ukraine, 1 from Tunisia, and 1 from Croatia.
During the project, students work in international cooperation. They experience democracy not just as theoretical knowledge, but through an interdisciplinary approach. As part of the activities, our students use design-thinking skills to create different materials.
We also included special days with global and cultural importance in our schedule. This helps students learn about different cultures. At the same time, these activities make students more sensitive to social events and strengthen their digital citizenship responsibilities.
The final products of our project include the "Democracy Stories e-Book," the "Democratic Poem," and the "International Democracy Declaration." These shared products clearly show how our students work together with peers from different cultures.
Furthermore, our students examined the democratic development of our country. They analyzed how our society joined democratic processes throughout history, and they successfully connected this deep history with modern democratic values. At every stage of the project, the activities aim to help the young generation share their voices in a responsible and constructive way.
